ZIMBABWE   Zimbabwe is a country in Africa . On the African map it is on the southern part of Africa, Zimbabwe shares its boarders with south Africa ,Botswana ,Zambia and Mozambique .Zimbabwe has a population of about 14,86 million people thus according to the World Bank (2020). WINTER IN KOREA In Korea, winter starts from late November through early March. We came to Korea during winter time it was late December I remember coming out of the airport it was freezing cold. Although we had prepared ourselves for the winter I still felt cold because I am not a winter person. When we came I stayed indoors through winter my kids were babies only the elder one was going to school by then. Those were the longest months for me because we were new in Korea and we were trying to settle in a new environment. Although I'm not a winter person I have to research what to do during winter where to go and visit with kids what type of food keeps us warm during winter. Korean New Year Seollal

   As the world celebrated its new year on the 1st of January. Koreans and Chinese celebrate their new year on the 1st of February. As an ex-pat in Korea, when we first moved here almost 5 years back we had no idea what it was by then l had not researched anything about Korean holidays. Only to find out when we went to Costco that all the big shops were closed. So during Seollal, Koreans go to visit their relatives mostly in rural areas. If you are an ex-pat or visiting Korea during Seollal make sure you buy your groceries before the holiday starts. Seollal or Korean  Lunar New Year is a holiday or celebration which marks the beginning of the Korean Lunar Calendar. Seollal is one of the most important traditional holidays in Korea.
